Here is a great example of a small decorative chest. This particular piece is veneered with old growth Rosewood and a stunning quartermatched birdseye maple. The carcass is splined mitres and the lid frame is ebonized mahogany. The hand carved lid lifts add a nice touch to this piece. The finish is hand rubbed garnet shelac and blonde shelac with a laquer top coat.
